Patchouli oil is steam-distilled from the dried, fermented leaves of the Pogostemon cablin plant from Indonesia. It is one of the few essential oils that gains depth and softness as it ages.
In a diffuser it is excellent as a warm evening scent; in blends it is the base that prolongs the life of citrus and floral notes. A few drops are enough – the scent is dense and long-lasting.

How to use
- Ultrasonic diffuser: 3–5 drops per 100 ml of water (roughly 10–15 drops for a 300–400 ml tank).
- Waterless nebuliser: pour the oil into the device’s 10 ml bottle and screw it on.
- Scent stones, wooden beads or ceramics: 2–3 drops, repeat as needed.
- Do not apply the oil to the skin and do not swallow it. Air the room from time to time during use. Keep tightly closed in a cool, dark place, out of reach of children and pets.

Is patchouli really a 100% natural essential oil?
Yes. The bottle contains only essential oil obtained from Pogostemon cablin (dried leaves, steam distillation), in line with the definition of an essential oil in ISO 9235. We add no carrier oils, alcohol, solvents or synthetic fragrances. Purity is confirmed by the supplier’s safety data sheet, certificate of analysis and IFRA certificate.
How many drops do I put in the diffuser?
For an ultrasonic diffuser, 3–5 drops per 100 ml of water is enough. Start with fewer and increase the dose as needed – essential oils are intense.
Can I apply the oil directly to my skin?
No. Essential oils are highly concentrated and can irritate the skin or trigger an allergic reaction. This product is intended for scenting rooms and is not a cosmetic product.
Why is the oil so thick and dark?
Patchouli is naturally thick, amber-brown and viscous; with age it becomes even darker and softer. The dropper dispenses it more slowly than citrus oils – that is normal.
Which oils does patchouli blend well with?
Patchouli pairs well with ylang ylang, sweet orange, bergamot, frankincense and geranium. For a warm evening scent try 1 drop of patchouli and 3 drops of orange.
Is it suitable for a room with children and pets?
Keep the bottle out of reach of children and animals. Do not run a diffuser in a room where a baby is sleeping, and always give pets the option to move to a scent-free room. Cats are especially sensitive to essential oils.
