Frankincense – the scent of stillness and calm

Frankincense essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the resin of the Boswellia carterii tree. As pure frankincense oil is very precious, we offer it as a 5% solution in grapeseed oil – which makes the scent softer, balsamic and unobtrusive.

It suits a yoga or meditation corner, quiet evenings at home and adds a warm note to blends with citrus oils.

How to use

Scented stones, wooden beads or ceramics: 3–4 drops, top up as needed.

Is the frankincense a pure, 100% essential oil?

No. It is a 5% solution of natural frankincense essential oil in grapeseed oil. This makes the scent softer and the price more affordable than for pure frankincense oil.

Can I use frankincense in a diffuser?

No. The blend contains 95% grapeseed oil, which leaves an oily film in ultrasonic diffusers and nebulisers and may clog or damage the device. Apply 3–4 drops to a scented stone, wooden beads or ceramics and repeat as needed.

Can I apply the oil directly to my skin?

No. Essential oils are highly concentrated and can irritate the skin or cause an allergic reaction. This product is intended for scenting rooms and is not a cosmetic product.

Which oils does frankincense blend well with?

Frankincense blends well with sweet orange, bergamot, Virginia cedarwood and geranium.

Is it suitable for rooms with children and pets?

Keep the bottle out of reach of children and animals. Do not leave scented stones or beads in a room where a baby is sleeping, and place them out of reach of pets. Cats are particularly sensitive to essential oils.
