Grapefruit oil is cold-pressed from the peel of Citrus paradisi fruits from the USA. Limonene dominates, while the bitterness comes from nootkatone – the very thing that gives grapefruit its recognisable, grown-up citrus character.
In a diffuser it is ideal for the morning and the home office, where it feels fresh and clear. With rosemary or peppermint it forms the classic concentration blends, with geranium more floral ones.

How to use
- Ultrasonic diffuser: 3–5 drops per 100 ml of water (roughly 10–15 drops for a 300–400 ml tank).
- Waterless nebuliser: pour the oil into the device’s 10 ml bottle and screw it on.
- Scent stones, wooden beads or ceramics: 2–3 drops, repeat as needed.
- Do not apply the oil to the skin and do not swallow it. Air the room from time to time during use. Keep tightly closed in a cool, dark place, out of reach of children and pets.

Is grapefruit really a 100% natural essential oil?
Yes. The bottle contains only essential oil obtained from Citrus paradisi (fruit peel, cold pressing), in line with the definition of an essential oil in ISO 9235. We add no carrier oils, alcohol, solvents or synthetic fragrances. Purity is confirmed by the supplier’s safety data sheet, certificate of analysis and IFRA certificate.
How many drops do I put in the diffuser?
For an ultrasonic diffuser, 3–5 drops per 100 ml of water is enough. Start with fewer and increase the dose as needed – essential oils are intense.
Can I apply the oil directly to my skin?
No. Essential oils are highly concentrated and can irritate the skin or trigger an allergic reaction. This product is intended for scenting rooms and is not a cosmetic product.
Is the oil phototoxic?
Grapefruit oil is one of the less phototoxic citrus oils, but it is intended exclusively for the diffuser and not for the skin, so this is not relevant in use.
Which oils does grapefruit blend well with?
Grapefruit pairs well with rosemary, peppermint, bergamot, geranium and cedarwood. For a clear start to the day try 3 drops of grapefruit and 2 drops of rosemary.
Is it suitable for a room with children and pets?
Keep the bottle out of reach of children and animals. Do not run a diffuser in a room where a baby is sleeping, and always give pets the option to move to a scent-free room. Cats are especially sensitive to essential oils.
