Oriental Night: a laundry fragrance for warm autumn evenings

October is the month when we pull thicker duvets, wool jumpers and flannel bed linen out of the wardrobe again. And that is exactly when it becomes clear how important it is for laundry to smell not just clean, but comforting. Oriental Night is a laundry fragrance we created for precisely these evenings – warm, deep and velvety, like the scent of a winter coat when you step from the cold into a heated home.

A scent that unfolds like a perfume

Oriental Night is not a one-dimensional “vanilla scent”. It is built like a real perfume, with three layers that reveal themselves one after another during washing and drying:

• Top notes: orange and warm spices – a fresh, slightly playful opening you notice the moment you open the bottle.
• Heart notes: a floral heart, cloves and a hint of cinnamon – the core that gives laundry its oriental character.
• Base notes: sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla and musk – a lasting base that stays in the fibres long after drying.

This base is the reason we count Oriental Night among the most luxurious fragrances in our range. Woody, amber and musky notes are naturally heavier and evaporate more slowly, so they do not vanish in the first hour after washing but stay in your duvet or jumper for days.

Where Oriental Night belongs

Every laundry fragrance has its home. We like to use soft, powdery scents on towels and baby clothes, while Oriental Night comes into its own wherever we want warmth:

Pure concentrate: why 1 ml is enough

Most laundry fragrances on the shelves are diluted – much of the bottle is water or a carrier, so you need to dose 5 to 10 ml per wash. Oriental Night is a pure fragrance concentrate from Grasse, the world capital of perfumery, and we sell it exactly as we receive it. We never dilute it.

In practice this means that 1 ml per 5 kg of dry laundry is enough. 100 g of concentrate therefore gives you up to 100 washes – a smaller bottle that lasts longer than many larger ones. Because we fill the concentrate by weight, the quantity on the label is given in grams.

How to use it

1. Dose the concentrate according to the weight of the laundry: 2.5 kg ≈ 0.5 ml · 5 kg ≈ 1 ml · 7.5 kg ≈ 1.5 ml · 10 kg ≈ 2 ml.
2. Pour it into the fabric softener compartment – the fragrance is released during the final rinse and stays in the fibres.
3. For a tumble dryer, apply the dose to a dosing ball.

A few tips from experience: do not apply the fragrance directly to laundry, as the concentrate can leave stains. You can use it on its own or together with fabric softener – for the purest Oriental Night scent, choose a washing powder without a strong fragrance of its own. Wear gloves when dosing, keep the bottle closed, in a cool place and out of reach of children, and follow the warnings on the label.

The concentrate comes in a brown glass bottle that protects it from light, so the scent stays unchanged even after several months.
