English lavender – true lavender from a cool climate
English lavender is steam-distilled from the flowering tops of Lavandula angustifolia grown in England. The cooler climate and higher linalyl acetate content give a softer, sweeter and more floral scent than Mediterranean lavenders.
It is our premium lavender – chosen for the bedroom and for evening blends where the scent takes centre stage. In a diffuser it is lovely on its own, and in blends with clary sage, bergamot and cedarwood.

How to use
- Ultrasonic diffuser: 3–5 drops per 100 ml of water (roughly 10–15 drops for a 300–400 ml tank).
- Waterless nebuliser: pour the oil into the device’s 10 ml bottle and screw it on.
- Scent stones, wooden beads or ceramics: 2–3 drops, repeat as needed.
- Do not apply the oil to the skin and do not swallow it. Air the room from time to time during use. Keep tightly closed in a cool, dark place, out of reach of children and pets.

Is english lavender really a 100% natural essential oil?
Yes. The bottle contains only essential oil obtained from Lavandula angustifolia (flowering tops, steam distillation), in line with the definition of an essential oil in ISO 9235. We add no carrier oils, alcohol, solvents or synthetic fragrances. Purity is confirmed by the supplier’s safety data sheet, certificate of analysis and IFRA certificate.
How many drops do I put in the diffuser?
For an ultrasonic diffuser, 3–5 drops per 100 ml of water is enough. Start with fewer and increase the dose as needed – essential oils are intense.
Can I apply the oil directly to my skin?
No. Essential oils are highly concentrated and can irritate the skin or trigger an allergic reaction. This product is intended for scenting rooms and is not a cosmetic product.
How does it differ from ordinary lavender?
English lavender is true lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) from a cool climate with a higher linalyl acetate content – the scent is softer and more floral, without the camphoraceous edge of hybrid lavenders (lavandin).
Which oils does english lavender blend well with?
English lavender pairs well with clary sage, bergamot, Virginian cedarwood, mandarin and geranium. For the evening try 3 drops of lavender and 2 drops of mandarin.
Is it suitable for a room with children and pets?
Keep the bottle out of reach of children and animals. Do not run a diffuser in a room where a baby is sleeping, and always give pets the option to move to a scent-free room. Cats are especially sensitive to essential oils.
Why does the bottle have a child-resistant cap?
The oil is classified as hazardous, so we bottle it in amber glass with a child-resistant cap and a tactile warning for the visually impaired.
