Éclat de Safran opens dry and spicy: saffron reads leathery and faintly metallic, while bitter almond adds a nutty, almost marzipan-like note. The first minutes are unusual – neither fruity, nor floral, nor fresh.

The heart is the reason for its reputation: the caramelised sugar accord is sweet, edged with a burnt, caramel-like facet, while jasmine adds floral fullness. This combination is so distinctive that many people catch it across a room.

The base of amberwood, cedar and resinous notes is dry and mineral. It is the amberwood in particular that creates that translucent, almost crystalline effect that lets the scent seem to hover above the skin rather than sit on it. Éclat de Safran is made from high-quality perfume essences in parfum concentration, with a longevity of 8 to 14 hours and a very strong sillage.

How long does Éclat de Safran last on the skin?

Between 8 and 14 hours. The amberwood in the base is exceptionally long-lasting and clings especially well to clothing – some notice it there for days afterwards.

How many sprays should I use?

Two are enough, and often even one. This is one of the strongest fragrances there is, and over-applying it is the most common mistake – in an office or lift it can quickly feel overpowering.

Which size should I choose?

It is best to start with the 5 ml tester to try the scent; the larger bottles are better suited to regular, everyday use.
